training on caw really good area, well not amazing as thers abit to much rock detail so is selectivly mapped but good training and was going well though it all and really got into the long course and flowing well, also did some mini control picks and some short head to head races at the end was running well the whole day and flowing in the terrian and fairly good navigation again and again using my compass more and more which i have being planning to do but starting to come and feel a lot more natural so thats really good.

quality technical training at craig a barns.

parked up at the car park then ran up to where the start was did the first 6 controls, spot on again and had look around at 5 to see why i got confussed there in the race, i miss read one of the contours and form line. took the same route to six but slightly more direct in the middle part then to 6. then played around in the countours just matching map to ground which was good then saw 6 deers! back towards the control pick at the start and again playing in the contours there and feeling good, running well whilst making good map contact at the same. then over the big reentrent and in the tricky part and to 17 then 18 then jog back downhill to the car park. not running dead quick but not slow just a good pace and making the most of the terrian, well im here!

JK relay

wasnt really in the mood woke up dead tired and in one of those moods where you dont want to eat so ran the race half asleep and with one piece of toast and a yougout so not the best so was just a run still come back 4th and was going fast in places but dont map contact again which is good. but didnt have a chance of a podium so didnt really fire me up so wasnt dead motivated. but was werid as people kept getting short gaffles on me and i kept getting away and ran the end hard and well and gained ferw places on people that had a short gaffle. but bring on the BOC relays, gonna be goooood!;)
11 AM

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3] 0.5 km (20:00 / km)

ddint warm up much as i want motivated and was late as i was in the toilet cue for ages with ciaran, but had a warm down with evie and some leg strethces. going to do some oing this week when im still up here until friday probally go to craig a barns re-run some of teh course and do soem technical training seeming there is nothing to match it at home so should take the most of the "oppertunity"

JK long race didnt havent course 1 today had are own 18/20E course.

had a good run but should have been 80/81 minutes. spiked 1 and took it carefully and got one of the fastet times, same on 2 good clear and good attackpoints and another quick split. did well on 3 and 4 good soild bearings which where spot on and made me feel good :) then a good route to 5 picking off all the features and was really into the map which i havent been much before and was looking up and felt good and felt that it clicked which is good which has always been one of my downpoints. then the long leg which i took 15 minutes which was similar to everyone else apart from aidan who was 11 minutes :O just shows how quick he is though the terrian. but carried out my route well and was really getting into the map and feeling and flowing well! nailed 7,8 and bit slow on 9 but was tricky and wanted to get it not get lost. fine on 10 just bit off plus 20 secs. lost 1 minutes on 11 bad bearing. spiked 12 and 13. took a werid route to 14 and lost a bit of time but spiked it. spiked 15 but was a really tough leg staright up a steep hill for ages. climbed 100m in about 400/500m so tough work but ran it mostly. spiked the control and 16, again spiked 17 with some really good navigation. spiked 18 going well. messed 19 up with a werid green bushes all over the leg and lost contact and then couldnt find the control but found 2 others just not mine so lost 4 minutes :( and was on for 80 minutes so disapointed. but didnt let it put me off and spiked 20 and 21 then finished :)

overall a good race and felt good and a real confidence boost!:) and started to click navigation wise which is what i have been missing should have been 3rd overall but with the mistake on 19 i was 4th which is still good as a bottom year on M18E so dead happy :) been a good jk but made some stupid mistakes and looking foward to the relay race tomorrow less pressure :)

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3] 2.4 km (8:20 / km) +100m 6:54 / km

JK Middle

didnt start off well made a mistake got a bit off track in the green and was too low and lost about 1 minute, lost 30 seconds on 2 from messing, hit 3 and 4 fine with good plans and routes and started to get going. was ok on 5 took a bearing but was 15 metres so lost couple seconds. messed 6 up had a good plan following the side of the green but messed up but got it in the end after reloctaing. took 4,30 so lost atleast 2 minutes. got 7 fine straight though the marsh. saw chris on the way to 8. nailed 8,9,10 as they werent in the dead tricky terrian and pushed. carried on pushing to 11,12 (specator) got away from chris on the way to 13 had a good route and plan and only started to read the map well from here and get into the map. started to flow really well and going well in the control pick after specator nailed 14 and 15 increasing the gap but then was slighty out on 16 so he caught me then straight to 17 and 18 then contour to 19 and conntour 20 then downhill finish. was really angry after my run but looking at the result 7th (6th brit) so not to bad. and was scrapy at the start but was difficult day as the results show and really looking foward to tomorrow my type of race and terrian should suit me and physed for it ;)

Running warm up/down 20:49 [3] 3.41 km (6:06 / km)

warm up to start and then warm up map which wasnt the best as i wasnt going well haha. but just walked around for a bit and matched up the map to ground which really helped and meant i went into the racing feeling better

JK sprint in livingston

started off well was second at 4 but then made a big mistake on 5 and lost 40 seconds and fell over in the process of taking a stupid long route which pi*sed me off as i cut my hand but then saw zac as i was entering 5 which remotived me and smashed 6 ,7,8 took the short route to 9 ;) good route to 10 and 11 and 12 and 13. took a longer route to 14 so lost 10 seconds, lost 10 seconds on 15 as i went round the walls instead of over so lost time this happened in over parts too as it wasnt the proper grey and when mapped with the orange grass it was shown up nearly black so angry at that, pointless time lost and was about to jumo the "wall" which was tiny. long route to 16 so lost 10 secs. 18,19,20 fine caught zac at 17. over the bridge fine in the tricky woods/grass but missed the easy quick route on 22. so overall about 1.15 lost and was going well but didnt let the mistake put me off so happy about that and running well still with a slight cold. 10th overall, 3rd bottom year so happy should have been 5th without the one big mistake and maybe podium without the silly little ones. not feeling 100% so take it as a good run! bring on tomorrow just makes me more up for it
