JWOC Coaches race

It's been a while since I've competed like that. This race is mostly for fun. The athletes often like being on the other side and seeing their coaches struggle. Despite that, many of the coaches run really hard. The GPS shows several segments below 3:30/km in the forest!

It wasn't a joke out there. But even at that speed, the navigation felt easy. It's partly due to the fact that I was looking at the courses all morning. But the other side is that I'm just a better navigator. The visibility was excellent in most parts. A stark difference from Wolf Springs. Loads of confidence right now.

15 minute warmup, 10 times up the 8 stories at the JWOC accommodation, and 20 minute cooldown. Erin joined me for 6 of them and helped keep the effort honest. Legs feeling like Jell-O now.

Morning Freeletics workout with Erin before the sprint day. Today was Charon. We were both hurting pretty good by the end.

2xHimmelbjerget. Went for the Strava segment with Erin. The record is at 4:50 and I ran 5:18.

We took one turn that added about 10-15 seconds. Still wouldn't have gotten it, buy I would have been close! The record holder is a 2:20 marathoner, so being that close is a good sign of fitness in my opinion.
