https://photos.app.goo.gl/YDsiQAJ4xaXuiFV98One of the things I've struggled with the most since moving back stateside has been training while under pressure. I've tried listening to WOC commentary before I start, visualizing the training course as a real competition with all the pressure. They've worked okay, but I want to keep testing out other things.
So the goal today was to start shortly before sundown and punch as many controls as possible before it got so dark that I couldn't read the map. That worked pretty well, especially since I didn't have a headlight with me. There was an extra urgency present that kept me pushing hard, but I also knew it was even more important to be clean. I really like this tactic, but I think I need to be little less ambitious. Either a shorter course or more time before sundown.
