Endurance (low intensity) warm up/down (Running) 5:00 [2]

Race race (Orienteering) 17:55 [3] *** 3.3 km (5:26 / km) +65m 4:57 / km
spiked:17/18c

Easy course, nice little recovery run after Colorado.

Sunday Aug 7, 2005 #

Race race (Orienteering) 1:45:43 [4] *** 14.2 km (7:27 / km) +200m 6:57 / km
spiked:19/25c

Not as hard a course as the distance would indicate. The terrain was extremely runnable, but I was getting tired after 5 days of racing, and made a few silly mistakes.

Saturday Aug 6, 2005 #

Race race (Orienteering) 1:06:22 [2] **** 5.74 km (11:34 / km) +210m 9:46 / km
spiked:10/12c

US Relay Champs. A huge mistake on #1, and then jogging the rest of the course. (Not on a serious team.)

Friday Aug 5, 2005 #

Race race (Orienteering) 53:49 [4] *** 7.85 km (6:51 / km) +360m 5:35 / km
spiked:8/10c

Managed to navigate well, but too much climb to keep up with mountain goats such as Magnus and Eddie. Punched all the right controls this time!

Endurance (low intensity) warm up/down (Running) 10:00 [2]

Race race (Orienteering) 1:11:28 [4] ***** 8.69 km (8:13 / km) +280m 7:05 / km
spiked:6/11c

Night-O Champs. Pretty good navigation - everyone makes a few mistakes at night. Still, one bubble less and I would have beaten Magnus, who won by 40 seconds.

Thursday Aug 4, 2005 #

Endurance (low intensity) warm up/down (Running) 10:00 [2]

Race race (Orienteering) 1:08:27 [4] **** 7.12 km (9:37 / km) +350m 7:43 / km
spiked:16/22c

Was doing ok until I hit the more technical terrain. I should have brought food - poor judgment. Also mispunched a control making it impossible to place in the 3-day.
