Home terrain, but didn't bring the legs. Also made a couple of stupid mistakes, first thought I was going to 7 en route to 6, stopped to figure it out just 30m north of the control.
Then coming back down, 16 I think. Should RG.
Fun, but pity I'm not fit. Conor stormed around in 33.
Better watch out this weekend with all the training I've been doing.
Note
Still planning on writing up some of the exercises and experience with the kids. In the meantime...
While collecting the cones used as controls after the last session, there was kids all over the place as it was lunchtime. One wee one was jumping up and down on a cone about thirty metres from me, beside a girl and a middle-aged woman. I shouted to them, then went over and asked the woman if it was her child. She answered in the affirmative. I said one shouldn't let one's child break equipment like that. She said it was other kids, they were doing it, and they ran away. I said her son was the one I saw. She changed her story. It wasn't her son, and if it was her son she would hit him. I said one shouldn't hit kids, explained to the child that one oughtn't break stuff like that and wished them a nice day.
Pro-tip #126: After being sensible and going to bed at 9.30 pm, sleep more than 3 hours before spending a morning teaching kids in the cold.
Done with the thumb splint, six weeks after dislocation. Doctor says it'll be another 4-6 months before it's back to normal, and that it might be a good idea to wear the splint this weekend.
