HVO local event at Tourne County Park near Boonton, NJ. Red course, 6.3k, plenty of climb. Lots of contour and rock detail with a moderate trail network. The map is 20 years old - there was a map showing some relevant updates of trails at registration. Vegetation varied with reduced visibility in thicker areas but also some nice open areas. Good course by Jeremy Colgan with many shortish technical legs, so a very Middle distance character - good technical navigation practice. Small problems with several controls but no really big errors.

Trexler Preserve. Checked out a new flow trail, professionally built and with many large bumps ("features"). For those so inclined, there are many opportunities to have the wheels leave the ground. The down side of big downhills is that there are also big uphills. Sunny, low 60s, breezy with very low humidity.
