UsynligO course on Saw Creek (KP map by Greg A). Some nice open woods, some blueberry, plenty of rock underfoot and lots of mapped rock features (but also a few unmapped ones). Visibility was generally good. Several mapped clearings but also some areas which looked like open areas in the terrain but showed as green on the map (probably correctly mapped and would be vertical green on a field-checked map. There are parts of some mapped trails which no longer show up in the terrain, which resulted in a few modifications to navigation plans.
This was the Adv 2 course, which started right at the parking area. My navigation was pretty good, with small parallel errors on two controls. Plus the usual wait for the tune to play while standing at the feature on a couple controls.
Good weather for running - mostly cloudy and upper 60s. Wet underfoot and a few extra streams as the deluge from TS Ida drained off.

From the Finish of Adv 1 back to the parking area. Took my only fall of the day, with only minor damage fortunately.

Adv 1 course at Saw Creek, which started about 100m from where Adv 2 finished and went in more or less the opposite direction with all different control locations. Took about 7 minutes between - ate a granola bar, reset UsynligO for the other course, etc.
Navigation wasn't quite as sharp on this course. Took a bit to get refocussed after the break plus the brain was tired. Felt physically OK through most of it, possibly because I did more walking than running due to rockiness and or blueberry. This course visited one area with lots of rock features which was pretty cool, although I did use a UsynligO hint here to find out I was searching about 170m too soon for a control. Slow on a few other controls which were kind of vague in the terrain.
Feet and lower legs sore afterwards from all the rock hopping.
