Green Long at Mountain Lakes. 6.9k, 225m. Stopped short on 4, small miss on 5, big error on 6 when I followed a wall 90 degrees off from the one I thought I was on. Lost about 10 minutes there. OK the rest of the way except for coming off the trail too early at 9 and having to do a bit of searching. Probably lost about 15 min overall. Still managed 2nd in M60 and 19th on Green.

Continental Club Relay - third leg. DVOA “Wise Men” 7 point team with Istvan Nagy and Petr Hartman. 2.9k, 120m. An OK run with small errors on 6 and 10 and about a minute loss on the last control (#13). Passed three teams and we ended up 4th among the 7 point teams, about 2 min behind 3rd. 4th fastest split among 7pt. 3rd leg runners. Temps in the 60s with some very light showers.

Green course at Westmoreland Sanctuary. 3.5k, 210m (supposedly a Middle course). Excellent map of a very technical area and a great course (except for being a bit long and physically tough). Very warm with mid-80s temperatures and sunny.

Had a very good run. Walked a lot due to the heat and climb but stayed focused on navigating. Only real mistake was misreading the code at the second control (after having spiked it) and losing about 45 seconds as I headed off to relocate and then came back. Other time loss shown by AP is just running out of gas near the end and being unable to run, even ona downhill and trail. Second M60, 8th on Green. Beaten by two kids (Bridget and Victor) who are one quarter my age.

Hiking at Evansburg SP, mostly along the Skippack Creek. Lots of muddy trails.

Sprint 1 at Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education. 2.3k, 50m. Forgot to start my Garmin so no track and a guess on the actual distance. Used SI Air which was fun (but also the distraction which caused me not to start my watch). Two errors near the end which probably cost about a minute. Took the wrong trail coming out of 10 and had to cut through the woods around a fenced area. Started towards 14 out of 12 and had to double back. Low 70s.

Sprint 2 at SCEE. 2.0k, 75m. Blew the route choice on the long leg - passed through two gates and had some woods running rather than all trail. Again making errors near the end when I'm tired.
