Orienteering 4:00 [2]
shoes: VJ Falcons 5

Three micro sprints. Fun but I'm not real good at these. At least I got all the controls in order on 2 out of 3. But the course setter also mispunched on the same course/control that I did, so the map must be bad in that area. ;-)

Green course at Gay City set by George and Lyn (Thanks!). A middle style course with shortish, technical legs. Had a pretty decent run. Lost some time on 5 finding the pit (it seems that my interpretation of the map didn't agree with what I saw in the terrain). Drifted left on the way to 7 and had a few "mid-course corrections" on other controls. Overall 2-3 minutes lost. Second overall to "Lyn Walker" who managed to cover the course in <40 minutes while also working registration and picking up controls on other courses. ;-)

Orienteering race 22:44 [4] *** 2.62 km (8:40 / km) +50m 7:55 / km

Red B course, one of three "woods sprints" making up the Red course. Got sloppy going to 4 since I had been to this point on the Green course and ended up relocating on 5 for about 2 min lost. Then on 8 I exited toward the wrong pond and lost another 2 min or so. Fun course and good middle distance practice.
