5k Trail Race at Landis Arboretum in Esperance NY (the 6th Perennial). A spectacular day weatherwise, sunny, low humidity and in the 60's at race time. We did this race 5 years ago (the 1st "annual") and this year the schedule worked out so we were able to do it again. Real nice course and well organized. A few short sections on roads but otherwise on trails through meadows and forest. Plenty of up and down with only a few very short steep sections. Great scenery overlooking the Schoharie Valley and nice forest with many mature trees, including a 500-year-old oak (visible in the satellite photo of my GPS trace near the 3.7km point).
14th overall (of ~70), 4th of 14 in 50-59. Curiously, there were no 60+ males, so I was one of the oldest guys in the race.

Pittsfield SF. Followed the "Bear Claw" trail for the entire loop, mostly to map where it goes. Overcast and low 70's so decent running conditions.

Reset the FR and ran a while longer. Started on "Whispering Pines" trail - may have done all of it since I came to a five way intersection and didn't see a sign indicating that it continued. Passed a few "Bear Claw" trail signs that I don't recall seeing when I was on that trail. Still nice trails to run on even if they are a bit confusing (and bailing out if needed is easy since heading west will take you to the main park road).
