Orienteering race 1:45:05 intensity: (3 @0) + (14 @1) + (33:13 @2) + (1:02:51 @3) + (7:37 @4) + (1:07 @5) **** 8.69 km (12:06 / km) +172m 11:00 / km

Red course at Hickory Run Sand Spring, starting at Camp Daddy Allen. 6.8k, 190m. Fun and challenging course set by Sandy F. Very nice weather - sunny, upper 60s, low humidity.

My run was OK. Missed the first control to the left - saw the reentrant but looped around a bit before heading further up into the form-line part of it. Chased the wrong hill on the way to 7 but figured it out pretty quickly. Sub-optimal route choice to 9 (knew it at the time but didn't want to run on the road). AP has me with about 8 minutes of errors, which seems about right.

Orienteering 25:15 intensity: (6 @0) + (21 @1) + (13 @2) + (9:49 @3) + (14:31 @4) + (15 @5) ** 3.03 km (8:21 / km) +70m 7:29 / km

A sprint course designed by Sam K through the Daddy Allen campground area. Nominally 2.6k. Ran most of this but didn't really ever push to race pace. Fun course with nice open woods to run through and lots of paths and buildings to use for navigation.

Field Checking 1:01:07 intensity: (41 @0) + (38:17 @1) + (22:03 @2) + (6 @3) **** 2.8 km (21:50 / km) +44m 20:15 / km
ahr:107 max:127 spiked:3/4c shoes: NB Summit KOM

Picked up four controls in the middle of the map. Spent about 15 extra minutes finding one control (and feeding the mosquitos). Passed right by it once but took way too long to get relocated - brain must've been fried.
