Corsedarder - local event , only a green so no excuses about being tired, but I was - esp on the uphills (2tough climbs).
12 mins down on AB, but he was gunning for it!

Up Glen Callater to second junction and back (great whiz down :-))

Up to Loch Kander, feeling dreadful, weak and unmotivated. Made it then had to climb steep slope to north, ground it out, had some food half way up. Then down track and across to bottom of Ghobair - nice wee single track up and felt somewhat improved on first climb. Direct line down - some trods and quad bike tracks. Wet feet crossing the river :-( then bike back.
2more DR points, at 51 but the hard half still to do…

Note

Realised that I'd passed another DR point on cycle to start of run last weekend, so on 52/100 now :-)

Lost all day taking E to Edinburgh for his knee op. - delayed so didn't get to leave till 1830...
If I'd known it would take so long I'd have taken some running kit.
Managed an hour wandering around over Craiglockart Hill in the warmth.

Warm up at Glen Tanar, along riverbank to near church and back

Intervals 18:00 [5]

2 x 6 & 2 x 3mins (approx) intervals. Cut short a Deeside Runners session - A, first one back for a couple of months and B, not wanting to be totally dropped off back.
Feeling OK once I got going, but fairly dreadful speed (lack of!)

Monday May 15, 2023 #

steady run race 59:00 [4]

Decided to do last leg of Munro/Corbett relay. Birse castle to Aboyne, start 0215, finish 0315.
Bad news was I was by far the slowest so start up the Gungle track was a bit extreme, but AS turned up so we trotted along a while chatting and eventually caught the others when they waited!
Lovely run down the single track to The Guard then the usual leg trashed descent if the Fungle.
Great to be out on the last leg - lovely night and dawn just starting to lighten the sky through the run.
Fun weekend with a good crowd. Talk of more of the same!
Just need to try to get some decent training in and try to claw back some pace.

Run club, took easy option, warm up to Rhu-na-haven road and back then sprints (for kids) on grass track at school :-)
Some of them put in serious work - esp when we ran head to head rounds of 100m !!
