steady run 44:00 [3]

Braemar hill race route - from arena to cairns approximately following race route (up track and down heather/marsh).
some snow on track and descent was very very wet - a couple of comedy slides :-)
Felt OK on climb so maybe progress from January ascent...
Glorious sunny day but chilly wind. Met AS and NM doing some panic training for the snow race next weekend - a bit off line for recceing the route...

steady run 47:00 [3]

Loch Kinord lap, feeling pretty rubbish - legs heavy and not very motivated. Tired from past survey and training camp.

Swimming 1:00 [2]

oof that was cold! Mind numbing, nerve screaming cold... Had to fight for the minute, just wanted to bolt straight out.

Surveying 5:00:00 [1]

'other day - the big hill plus open heathery hillside, not as bad as I remembered it, but some comical mapping of veg on lower slopes - complete fantasy that needed a fair bit of work to drag it closer to reality.
Tired by end, had planed a wee jog but after shopping couldn't face anything extra.

Surveying 4:40:00 [1]

More survey, some fairly grot bits and pieces, plus some nice open forest :-)

steady run 32:00 [3]

back from dropping car at Aboyne. Chilly and breezy but bright and sunny.

orienteering 1:10:00 [3]

spectating and collecting on Blawith. lots of learning being generated... ;-)
Actually managed to get a sweat on - first session that was long enough to generate sweat. Windy and chill air but lovely when out of direct wind.
