rest day - tired after yesterday. Walked to the waterfall - but not as much water as Friday so no photos!

Skiing with S, Deeside Way to Boddomend, up towards Mortlich then I cut through to Coull and along burn to golf course and back on past old cemetery and Deeside Way. A lot of sh*te snow - slushy, almost non existent in many places and had to carry skis in Coull woods for a bit. Nae very pleasant!

Dess Woods, cowshed alley and bull-e-vard. Lots more snow and still wet and slippy, even slushy in places. Hard work in deeper stuff.

down to main road to p[ost a letter and across towards ILPH, into felled area (on path!) and back via Deeside Way. Sliippy wet snow. Legs feeling pretty good and strong.

With E and EC along from top road to Craig Lich and back. Deep snow and cutting tracks so hard work at times. Howling tail wind with snow on way out but clear on way back - some good views to the Dess bowl and south Deeside hills, looking dramatic in the low light and snow. Steep descent from Craig Lich was a comedy - skied into the trees twice to slow down, then walked a large part and managed the bottom section fine. Not enough control of my skis :-)

rest day - body tired and glutes very painful (thanks Pilates split squats...)
Had a wee wander to St Machar's Cross (CP86). Snowing again... Should be lots more coming, maybe we'll get skiing from house yet :-)

Arms and abs a bit tired from skiing so likely be a worse tomorrow :-)

With S & E from Balmoral distillery road end. Grabbed Bovaglie (CP49), since we were close by then on to bridge towards Glen Muick and a bit further up other side. Lovely evening/night, managed most of the way without a torch. Lovely ski.
