Note

another rest day - had planned a run but things intervened.

walking 2:00:00 [1]

Up Schiehallion with S & E. Didn't attempt to stay with them and actually quite enjoyed bits of the climb - motorway for first half then bouderfield - reminiscent of Norwegain tops. Down was pleasant too - much easier to see the path across the boulders from above than below :-)
Lots of ptarmigan at east end of ridge and 30-40 Ravens near the summit - never seen so many in flock before - they were enjoying the wind funnelling up fro SW side of the hill.

walking 5:00:00 [1]

With S and E up a couple of hills south of Tyndrum, pretty bogy path at start and end, higher up better going. Feeling crap on the climb - no power in legs. Pretty outstanding views form tops - Loch Lomond and some great broken boggy plateaus to south and hills to N, E & W.

steady run 1:40:00 [3]

Pressendye from Queens view with S. Hanging on for most of it.

steady run 42:00 [3]

Loch Kinord rundt. lovely day and met (S&DW with extended family plus plenty more. Bracken well dead but not yet down...
Slight trace of soreness in right knee but almost 100% better - not sure what caused it. Left knee still clicking a bit behind joint but not sore. All told feeling quite good running-wise today :-)
Sun came out at the end just in time for...

Swimming 6:00 [2]

Brief dip in the loch - shorts only... a bit chilly but water level very high and fresh - no trace of blue/green algae or usual slipperiness after dip.
Not sure if I impressed or horrified a mum with young kids just by my entry/exit point :-)

Monday Oct 19, 2020 #

steady run 35:00 [3]

Traditional Dess wood lap, waterfall, Iain's, fields, round woods, back via hill top. Feeling mostly OK but right kneecap really sore on some movements. Gradually eased off and fine afterwards...? wtf?

Surveying 30:00 [1]

Some more Banchory checking - mostly car parks :-)
