Glen Dye AA box car park to Mount Shade pretty direct and back slightly longer route. 2 buzzards getting excited on my return - must have been near the nest. Plus stopped to watch an adder cross the track - really cool to see it move so sinuously and smoothly. Wished I had phone to take video. Feeling fairly heavy legged at start but eased into it. Enjoyed a lot of the descent though heather. Then an hour picking blueberries :-)
Morven with S. Up diagonal, direct descent, with stop for cloud berry search on plateau - very, very few... I guess the sheep and deer have had them. Tried to run as much as possible on ascent, even if only as fast as walking pace. Legs felt OK but heart and lungs working hard and general body fatigue.
More urban, bailed at end - too busy and detailed town centre needs larger scale basemap. Hot and humid.
Intervals intervals 10:00 [5]
Bellwood intervals round flat track in eastern middle block. Good surface and minimal climb so perfect. Met 2 dogs on first loop and almost tripped by one... 2 loops each of 5x1 min. Glad to get session done, helped by comments by RS in Banchory this morning - even a 5x1 min session is good if done hard.
steady run warm up/down 37:00 [3]
Station square to woods and back. Hot and humid as hell!
With S, initially from gliding strip but track too gravelly so onto road to Dinnet, to meet S there, but she parked at Boghead so I cycled back to gliding strip then out Dinnet, eventually met her on Deeside Way west of Dinnet! A nice gentle spin out, legs feeling a bit tired from yesterdays run plus quite a lot of garden work over the weekend.
