steady run 2:00:00 [3]

Glen Muick road junction to Glen Tanar Stable yard car park.
Wanted a decent long run, had the offer of a drop-off and pick-up so checked the weather (strong westerly wind) and decided this route.
Long grind up to col below Carn Luchain - managed non stop (apart from gate) in 35 mins to wee hut. Then across moor (track disappears) and down into Glen Tanar. Seveal fences and some fairly chossy grassy bog but once on main track picked up to a steady pace and held it there. Pushed quite hard near end to try to dip under the 2 hours - managed 2-00-30!
Pleased with run - a long run on my own without any issues of getting bored or switching off. Left calf totally fine. Rest of legs, back etc were well behaved, so I reckon I've not got any broken issues at all just now (tough wood...).

cycling 20:00 [3]

To Kinker and back for bramble expedition. Legs felt tired on climb, yesterday kicking in.

Note

walk round Aboyne Loch with Sarah, her first activity since Pyrenees adventure ;-)

steady run 1:00:00 [3]

Glenmore lodge, up through woodland to SE - mostly runnable if steep, some lovely plantation and a few lochs, marches etc. Out of woods onto moor and turned left towards ski road then back down hill - managed to find some horrendous heather and deep plough lines on parts of the descent - felt i was moving slower than on the climb in parts! Legs felt really strong on climb and left calf was very well behaved, hardly felt anything.

orienteering 25:00 [3]

Hanging, looking for lost child, collecting and to tennis courts (Ewan in car!). Felt a bit leg weary but all else fine.

steady run 39:00 [3]

Deeside way, riverbank, loop to Iain's and back over top track. Back a bit spasmy - felt tight this morning, but loosened after a few minutes. Lovely day but humid. Calf fine.

steady run 26:00 [3]

Short lap of woods. Calf feeling OK, but wheezing a bit and legs heavy as lead. Better by end.
