steady run 1:20:00 [3]

Burn O'Vat guiding group (well 2 guides and 3 guests - so easy peasy!). Up to Cnoc Dubh, down to east, round butterfly loop, to edge of Loch Kinord and back to car park via wee house in middle of fields. Pleasant day and lots of chat.

Swimming 10:00 [2]

Splash in Loch Kinord on way home from run. Only wore cossie and it was a little parky :-)
Just about warmed up by time I got home.
Maybe wetsuit time has come again...

stretching 10:00 [1]

Various stretches/exercises. Think I need to get doing the physio exercises for my right glute again, plus some for my back.

orienteering 35:00 [4]

Short Glen Dye course with E and JG. Navigating well but cut short due to needing to pick blueberries! Not particularly enjoying battling through bracken/steep slopes.
Right knee OK but not feeling totally confident in it on rougher areas (most of the steep slope where course started!).

steady run 1:10:00 [3]

Guiding for Running the Highlands - Douneside to Pittenderich and some loops on small paths.
Nice easy chatty pace, only 4 guests and 2 guides - easy-peasy!
Right knee OK, just a little awkward at times, took downhills easy but no pain.

orienteering 26:00 [3]

Hanging and collecting controls for after-school club. Right knee still a little awkward but not as sore.

orienteering 30:00 [2]

Easy out to central control in training exercise and one loop. Lots of coaching.
Knee not great - unable to put much weight on it when bent. Semed bit better after. Will wait a few days to see what it is doing, but have a guided run on Friday to lead... maybe painkillers and a hobble!

Intervals hills 20:00 [5]

Glen Tanar with Deeside Runners (small turn-out). 4x2+1 then 12x1+1 from bridge to Baudy Meg summit.
OK on first set of 2's then going well on 1's until number 10, lost energy - probably a bit of a food bonk, managed to get back to carpark OK but very hungry after!
Superb low sun as we reached summit of Baudy Meg - orange/purple colours over the hills towards Morven, Ben Avon and Lochnagar - absolutely magic :-)

steady run warm up/down 1:00:00 [3]

Note

Right knee very sore immediately after session, felt a wee twinge at one point during hills but nothing bad. Upper outer quadrant of kneecap is very tender to touch and cannot put any weight on it while bending it (knee-bend).
May e linked to massage on Monday easing off left side of back and thus putting pressure on right leg?

Pilates 1:00:00 [1]

Note

Saw physio about tight neck/shoulders and lower left rib pain. All linked to tight left side, some very painful massage and various exercises to be done as often as possible.
