Good long warm up, legs feeling better than yesterday. Plus warm down after to start to pick up thermal.

orienteering race 36:00 [5]

JK middle race. Started as fast as possible but struggled up hill! Settled in well and apart from navigating to 5 instead of 8 (only cost maybe 5-20 secs) good nav till 15- drifted right, thought Ihad gone left so on wrong spur. Eventually realised (almost at 16 instead of 15) cost about 80-90 secs. Recovered well and decent to finish. 4th - could have been 2nd but no chance of QHs time! Right leg best yet in a race, just need to keep at it and regain some aerobic fitness and leg strength.

JK Sprint, decent technical run, 3 time losses - 1 due to parking area full of containers/trucks, 2nd due to map error, fence end/patch of trees was wrongly mapped & 3rd was going to outside of band of trees rather than inside edge. Total cost maybe 30seconds. 2-34 down in 28th!!! Place Satisfied with performance, not too impressed withresult

Muir of Dinnet south, WeTT. Test of Maprun course in forested area. No go for me because phone did not register start - even after 3-4 restarts of the app, waving phone around, waiting 5 minutes etc. Not the best advert for it!
Enjoyed course anyway and fairly good technique - a bit wobbly on 2 & 3 and missed 6 slightly (decided not to deviate as I was already in the marsh and didn't want to spend longer than necessary in it (it was bloody cold!).
Good session, great preparation for JK. Now need to recover!

Steady run round Shooting Greens and Corsedarder checking some planners notes from recent map updates. Managed to find a gap in the rain, so just light when I was out :-)

Felt good today (but after a night of disturbed sleep with legs/back aching) so took rest day.
