steady run warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Easy to start, then wanted to get going, should have done more as felt really grim on first couple go hills...

orienteering race 1:04:00 [5]

SOL Auchingarrich. Short brown. Steady run round - limited by speed, and threats of twinges in lower right back - not helped by camping overnight ;-)
Navigation mostly fairly straight forward, lost time on a couple due to misreading veg/not careful enough on compass.
Fairly pleased with performance but not fast enough (4 mins down on BS).
Need to make sure I recover this week before JK, will need all the speed I can muster there!

Before/after Rosyth sprint.
Would have chosen to do the forest race but had vehicle to deliver.

orienteering race 13:00 [5]

Rosyth sprint race. OK run, not enough warm-up (as always!) but always struggling for pace. Fairly simple navigation - all same type of blocks so ticked them off fairly easily. Leg not too bad, could feel it a bit but only every uncomfortable, never painful. Right lower back a bit tweaky in a nervy sort of way.

Jog to Loch and back (plus return to pick up towel!)

Swimming 17:00 [2]

Loch Kinord swimming, a bit chilly on entry (water creeping in along zip and gloves...) but settled in and fine for most of time. A bit choppy on return but nothing too severe, could have stayed in longer. Helped by air temp being 10C+

Hanging and collecting controls for after-school club. Lovely mild day.

Intervals intervals 12:00 [5]

Railway line, 6x2+1. R Leg feeling better than for a long time but breathing struggling - had to stop on first with 20 secs to go, catch breath then start again. 4th slower than 3rd (5-10m), 5th better than 2nd (5-10m) and 6th better than 1st (15m).
Progress at long last. Leg felt OK on return shuffle.

Out to gate onto railway and back. Struggling up hill from bridge but managed to keep running... just.

steady run 20:00 [3]

Time for a short trot round Aboyne after dropping E at Deeside Runners and before scouts started. Right leg feeling a bit awkward after hard session at lunchtime, but never got too bad. Wanted to add the work load a wee bit hence 2 sessions.
