Helping at Christmas training session. About 30 mins walking to the pine-cone control in woods.

Deeside way to DAP road, back down to riverbank path and back via main track - checking state of ice on bottom section - spread a few more handfuls of grit to help the melting.
Legs feeling pretty decent, best for a while.
Mortlich morning run with S. Lovely morning, crisp ground underfoot and beautiful colours in the clouds as the sun rose.
Feeling a bit better than last couple of days.
Surveying, 3 hours. Pleasant woodland but big tracks had lethal ice covering. Met oil tanker off the dirt road at one point - 2 hours later he was being hauled out by a huge recovery vehicle, I guess ca 25 tons of oil plus weight of truck needs some serious power to pull it. Driver then spent 15 mins trying to turn and eventually headed off backing 1km to hte main road!

Lap of Dess, headtorch run with S. Right adductor niggling regularly, will get it worked on next massage session. Legs still tired on hills.
Physio exercises16:00 [2]
Good set - less tired and less painful than previous sets.
DNC Carlogie. Good technical run, but start (600m along track then 2nd leg monster climb just about killed me) took me a few controls to get back into running mode. Pleased with routes and control flow. Some legs even felt like I was attacking the terrain a bit.
Deeside Activity Park, car park to top gate. 5-38, 5-40, 5-35. Felt terrible on first one then gradually better on next two but not tempted to do a fourth.
Tired leg muscles - maybe physio exercises are taking more out than anticipated.
steady run warm up/down 34:00 [3]
Deeside Way to bridge, along bottom track to DAP, downhill between intervals and back round east side of hill.
