running drills 10:00 [3]

Club training warm-up, added some dynamic exercises to it for leg speed, left calf feeling a bit tweaky so avoided running later (as had been planned). Chopped/stacking logs instead.

running drills 5:00 [3]

Same dynamic stuff, seems to be working.

steady run 29:00 [3]

Dropped at NW corner of Loch Davan, round track to west of loch to swimming spot on Loch Kinord. Feeling fairly tired and shuffle (after yesterday). Pleasant run and nice place.

Swimming 12:00 [2]

Loch Kinord with S, short out and back, legs not feeling great so didn't want to risk cramp.

Intervals hills 16:00 [5]

4x4 from Queen's Loch car park and then up cistern track. Sweating buckets and working hard on hill. Pleased to manage it - should probably stick to long uphill intervals to reduce stress on left ham. Slightly achey after but not badly so.

steady run warm up/down 43:00 [3]

Parked near Boat Inn, across bridge up towards jungle, cut across by Queen's Loch and then back down east side of Jungle - not good track now, too overgrown and very wet in places, should stick to main (west) Fungle track.

running drills 5:00 [2]

Dynamic exercises to get legs working before session.

Thursday Aug 24, 2017 #

running drills 20:00 [3]

Same as last 2 days but slightly more so.

Wednesday Aug 23, 2017 #

running drills 15:00 [2]

Same as yesterday, only one tweak from left ham - extra high knee lift in skipping, seemingly no after-effect

Tuesday Aug 22, 2017 #

running drills 15:00 [2]

Various dynamic exercises and running drills to try to stimulate hams to work well. All OK except when striding out from circular feet - left ham catching.

steady run 1:08:00 [3]

Glen Tanar long loop with Deeside Runners. Right leg felt good whole way from start and left ham insertion point was only a little sensitive.
Must do the exercises/drills more often, assuming it was them that helped today.

Note

6 hours working on E's tree-house extension... Fairly tired after.
