Appendicitis... Bugger. Had emergency op at about midnight after appendix burst during ultrasound test, nae very nice!

3 hours surveying - feeling off-colour, achey stomach and slight nausea.

Evening - feeling crap, very sore stomach, early to bed and hopefully better tomorrow.

orienteering race 48:00 [5]

DNC Glen Dye. Started early (had to get to a meeting in Perth after) so had forest to myself. Worked fine till No7 which was wrongly placed. Got bit flustered by this and started to push harder. Misread route 10-11 and then missed 11, spent time checking depressions (not sure if it was also wrongly placed), eventually big bail and relocate then back in.
Ended 6th (both before and after legs 6-7-8 removed). Need to keep cooler head and focus on technique.

4.5 hours surveying, cold at start, damp and cold by end!

Intervals 20:00 [5]

5x4+2 on Deeside way starting at road crossing west of Aboyne. 1-4 +2secs, 2-3 +16 secs. Surprised how good legs felt at start - walking around surveying might be good for something! Tired by last 2. Pleased to have done it after a day in the woods.
