Dufftown to Spey-Bay. All on Speyside Way - majority on pleasant tracks and the rest on very quiet roads. Much of the way was through beautiful woodland or forest, much more pleasant than I had anticipated.
Lower back stiff in the morning but eased off and didn't have any problems on the day.
Stood in North Sea up to my waist for a while to help ease legs, but couldn't face diving in - unlike two of the guests!
70 miles in 3 days- wasn't over-confident at the start but managed it fine.
Run up The Highlands, Day 5 Tomintoul to Dufftown. Showery first section over hill and moors to lunch the heavier rain and , for a couple of miles, a head wind. Nae nice at all. Cleared up between Glen Livet and Glen Fiddich and decent run to the Cabrach but right bum/hamstring twinging on last mile or so. Managed a sprint finish
Run up The Highlands Day4 Keiloch car park to Tomintoul. Pleasant run a few mins of showers but sun as well at times. Track been tarmaced for much of second half so a bit hard on feet & legs. Stiff by end.
