Course at Hoias, really enjoyable but legs were in a shocking state of listlessness, not sure if last few days of racing round sorting things has caught up or whether I wasn't refuelled from last night or what but I felt dreadful from the start. O was fine, all controls clean apart from one where I couldn't read the map (slightly poor print from map on web...)

Lindtjern, short course, orienteering heaven :-) Wasn't planning to go out, but forest looked so inviting I had to and glad I did as feeling much better in the legs. Good O tech till last control which I bumbled into a bit and then even worse bumbling across to the finish! Glorious forest, rolling hills and nice bits of contour and rock detail with little lakes interspersed in it.
DNC 2 Crathes. 5.3km, decent run, struggled to read map and controls, but didn't do any jump overs or running to wrong controls. Checked codes on (almost) all controls and used compass most of the time, so generally a win for a first night event of the season!
Struggled to run smoothly in forest - lots of windblown trees and bits of vegetation/bracken etc.
Deeside Runners, Aboyne Green. 10x90 secs, 60 secs recovery.
Good session, kept pace high, right heel/achilles fine.
Intervals too short - need to get some proper long ones in over the winter - at least 3-4 minutes.
