Note

Rest day - late night watching Jukola and I've been feeling a bit wappit most of the week - long slow runs catching up maybe.

Road race 20:36 [5]

Hazlehead parkrun. Feeling heavy legged after the past week (and particularly after yesterdays run in the sun!). As soon as I hit the first hill I knew it wasn't a great day, legs tired and people streaming past me. Tried to work but relapsed back to slower pace too often - heard sarah behind me early on and did manage to speed up a bit then ;-)
Same on return - and also got a twinge of a stitch then a tiny hint of hamstring tightness.
Surprised not to be slower than I was - only 35 secs off best time here.
I can do quicker, I think there is fitness inside - just a bit hidden by tiredness, not sure when next attempt will be, busy for a while now.

steady run warm up/down 30:00 [3]

Good long warm-up and a bit of a jog after.

stretching 10:00 [1]

steady run 1:13:00 [3]

Home to Mortlich via Lodge on the Loch and back direct tracks. WW3 was breaking out as I climbed from Aboyne Loch - some gamies shooting range or boys playing with rifles...... Still they all missed me:-)
Legs feeling crap on climbs but fairly quick and smooth on descent, hope they can manage fast for tomorrow morning.

steady run 28:00 [3]

Lap of Dess Woods (summer route - ie avoiding psycho-buzz). Very pleasant morning.

Wednesday Jun 10, 2015 #

steady run 1:30:00 [3]

Glen Feadar- to top of hill at west of map and then over to Auchtavan (both DR points). Legs compeltlely crippled at start - could hardly hobble, gradually eased off but still very tired muscles and low energy. On hte positive it was a superb day - hot and sunny, great views to Lochnagar and other hills.

Note

1.5 hours surveying, lovely warm sunny day.

Intervals 18:00 [5]

Glen Tanar with Deeside Runners, 2 bridges loop with 6x2+1 on flat and 6x1+1 on hills. Going well early on then struggling a bit more. Good battle with DH and CW.
Pleased with session - felt I kept working and ground it out.

steady run warm up/down 46:00 [3]

Usual warm-up to bridge and back via mill pond.

Monday Jun 8, 2015 #

steady run 9:00 [3]

Only time for a very short jog at Hill of Banchory.

Pilates 1:00:00 [1]

Another tough session.
