steady run 1:30:00 [3]

Morven night run. Wearing too much clothing - but this meant I stayed warm at the top. Took easy on climb - feeling fairly drained (not sure why) and carrying a lot of kit so didn't want to flog it. Fun descent - some decent patches of snow and O-shoes giving good grip on wet grass/mud of other parts of tracks.
29 Edit - "at least 31 (after some further discussion with Sarah)" people that I can think of out on the hill so a decent turn-out.

steady run 1:00:00 [3]

Maroc Talent Squad (plus others) run from Muir of Dinnet car park, out to east towards rangers house, back next to Loch Davan, up drove round to edge of Cambus, met Sarah and Ewan here, then led short route back direct to the car park. 24 in total - biggest number ever.

steady run 21:00 [3]

Easy run before breakfast to check state of track fro Ewan's cycle to school - still icy in lots of it.

steady run 36:00 [3]

With Sarah round woods on her warm-up, then down to main road to post a letter and back up Deeside way - good choice not to attempt hills - legs and body feeling very weary.

Note

Rest day - not really planned, just happened.

Wednesday Dec 17, 2014 #

Note

Survey 5 hours, milder but very wet underfoot.

orienteering race 47:00 [5]

Deeside Night Cup, Raemoir 4.4km 46-57, pleased with run, missed a little at 1 (too far right and just above control), 8, too far left and pulled further left by runner leaving control....... (amateur) and 10 - way too far right going up hill - but it did give me a great attack point! Probably 1.5-2 minutes in total wasted. Tim Gomersall did 39........ ohh for young legs :-)
I felt the forest wasn't quite as tough as I had expected and course was well planned.

Intervals 24:00 [5]

Intervals with Sarah on Loch Kinord loop, 8x3+1. What a wonderful location for a tough session! A great circuit, very little ice/frost so hardly limited in speed.
Struggled on last 2, and grovelled back on warm-down, seriously dropped by sarah. Longest interval session I've done for a long time.

steady run warm up/down 29:00 [3]

Dinnet car park to loch loop and back - managed to get past gate at NE corner of loch on last interval.

steady run 15:00 [3]

After school club, a decent warm-up and a few sprints.

stretching 12:00 [1]
