SOL 1 Devilla. Had memories of a tough forest from last time here, so went out expecting to have to fight - seemed to work a treat as technically I was good - about 3 wobbles but rest Ok and pushing running to limit at all times. First by 7 minutes (13/16 fastest splits). Very pleased with performance technically and also pleased with terrain running. Felt slow and heavy on paths - probably need some more intervals/hills to build up leg speed. Sacro-illiac wasn't a problem, so hopefully on the mend from that - I guess next speed session will let me know!
Aboyne to Dinnet and back on Deeside Way, paced by Ewan on his bike (easy ride for him!). Really struggled on the way out - right shin nad ankle sore and twisting badly prior to foot plant, reckon it was pelvis/hip. Stopped at half way and did sacro-illiac stretch and it seemed to ease off. Did the stretch again half way back, managed 5 mins quicker on return, for less discomfort. Last 10 mins were a reasonable pace. Need to work on the stretch and hope problem goes away.
Feeling very tired, glad this particular section is now finished.

Started with Sarah - on her warm-up for intervals, but felt so crap that I just turned and started jogging back. Did some drills to try to liven my legs up and succeeded (to a certain extent).
Deeside Runners, Aboyne Green. 2xchanging room to gate and back, 4x changing room to church and back, 2x changing room to gate and back. Ca 40 secsx4, 70 secsx8, 40secsx4.
Chose a shorter interval set to try to get some speed in legs. Felt tight right bum on last couple but no after-effects.
