Guiding for Running the Highlands at Balmoral - 10k race loop in reverse =plus an extra 2 km when I missed a junction due to chatting too much! Cruised first 3/4ers then things sped up on last 2 miles (after I mentioned the chance to run faster straight back to castle). Left leg a bit achy by end but nothing too bad at all.

Control collecting at Inver event - northern and eastern group. Headed out on high track than picked up group along spine of hill - superb views north to Beinn A'nn and Beinn A'Bhuird - looked glorious with sun on snow. feeling pretty good after last 3 days - struggling in heather (but it is so deep I always do!). Still running OK on return by track to car park.
Need to take easier week to ensure no over-training.
Guiding for Running the Highlands at Balmoral - 16 miler - basically out west to near Invercauld Bridge and back with a loop of Ripe Hill on return. Felt good for most of it, but tired at end - largely energy shortage - I had to split my energy bar 4 ways!! Pleased to still be going well and smoothly by end - maybe exercise and circuits helping.
Guiding for Running the Highlands at Balmoral. Usual Friday loop, pretty quick start but managed to throttle back on the climb and my group were a bit slower on the smaller tracks and downhills of the second half.
Shoulders a little tight and achy from circuits (and sweeping yard this morning!).
Very short run round Hill of Banchory before pilates - only to find class cancelled...
A bit of warm-up, then some drills, sprints and a lap of the woods at after-school athletic club.
