Warm-up, felt shockingly tired and heavy legged. Not in a racing state of mind at all.

orienteering race 1:00:00 [5]

Trossachs SOL. Started straight up 10 contour hill - not kind! Settled into a steady plod, trying to run on flat and downs, but walking pretty much everything uphill. Seemed to work as I had plenty of fastest splits. 1st by 2 mins over Quentin - couldn't believe it at the end. I felt rubbish physically but orienteering was pretty much spot on. Maybe this winters surveying has given me a leg strength I have been lacking recently. Now need a few decent weeks to sharpen up for BOC.

steady run warm up/down 20:00 [3]

Warm-up before Tulliallan event - led by Ewan who is keen to show his knowledge! Felt better after than before (not difficult).

orienteering race 34:00 [5]

Middle distance race Tulliallan. Scrotty little area but good planning made best use of it and it never became boring or a slog. Started slowly - had blurred vision problem again (like at Crathes DNC) for 1st 3 so essentially ran them on compass and looked for flags - lost a bit. After that things seemed to improve eye-wise and keep a steady pace, pushed a bit harder near end when with Spongey (alright when Spongey cruised past!) and others. Please to be only 1 min down on Quentin.

Rest day, still got cold. Went for wander in Inchmarnoch and Allt Cailleach to collect missing markers from weekend training. Nice and sunny - not snowing at the time!

Pilates 1:00:00 [1]

Still got head cold, so missed run. Enjoyed pilates session - lots of band and small ball work, tough on abs and arms/shoulders.
