orienteering 52:00 [4]

Hanging controls at Moor of Alvie - 2 sets, pushing due to time pressure. Lovely forest and good contours (if vague in places).

orienteering 12:00 [5]

1 short loop of relay (replacement for a runner with a sore knee). Blasted it, but missed first control (one I'd put out earlier!!!) and so failed to beat 6 mins/km.

Through Dess woods. Feeling OK, nice loop, mostly in terrain, ended down at Deeside Way where new bridge being built. Carried log up from marsh.

Surveying 5.5 hours. Using bike to get round tracks - need a map board, holding it is not a useful option.

Victory Hall to Balnagowan, across to river De and river bank to Boat Inn, across Green. Pleasant run, legs tired but tried to keep a decent cadence and not just plod along. Riverbank path getting badly overgrown and washed out in places. Steady rain for last 10 mins.

Matwork - felt hard. Shoulders/neck fine after Saturday "weight" training and sleeping in a tent, so pretty happy about that!
