Home to Shooting Greens via Deeside Way and back via loop to Slewdrum and out at halfway on hill. Hard work up the big hill and pushing on return as well - into wind. Good loop - must do it regularly as a decent test of bike fitness. Knees a bit achy at times on serious uphills, but fine after - probably a good way to get some hard work with no irritation.
With Ewan and Sarah in Allt Cailleach. Good route though a lot of up hill in forst half has e wingeing big time! Lovely day, sunny and mild - a great change to yesterday.
With Sarah from Braeloine car park to north and east. Not feeling good, legs tired, calf a bit achy and also very cold - snowing on the hills around. Best a run to forget - and the area, though it has some lovely bits of forest also has some utter sh1t plantation and broom/gorse.
Hanging controls at Potties for evening training. Calf fine at start and didn't feel it during run but a bit achey after. More ice and massage in afternoon.
Glen Tanar with Deeside Runners - 7x2+1. Feeling strong, but tiring towards end. Left calf tightened up in last few seconds of last interval. Not too sore later tonight - after icing and stretching. Check tomorrow.
steady run warm up/down 46:00 [3]
Uusalwarm up, back with Ewan nad Sarah by millpond. Hobbling a bit to protect calf.
With Ewan and Sarah Linn of Dee to Mar Lodge (walked from there part way up Derry Cairngorm). Nice day but cold wind on return and started to rain at end. Great views into the Cairngorms - lots of snow on the tops.
