Maroc run up Clachnaben and Mount Shade, lovely day - cold but still. Pushed up main hill and Mt Shade, struggling more on descents - knees a bit achey.

With Sarah, Allt Caillaich to Coyles of Muick, back along ridge and lovely track through pine plantation back to south Deeside Road. Legs tired but main problem was food - felt hungry soon after start and gel and energy bar at top didn't fill he hole completely. Must be 2 days surveying in the cold!

Rest - vfeeling pretty tired and beat up. Also hungry all day - 2 days survey in cold weather burns a lot of calories.

Warm-up at Raemoir before orienteering

DNC 8 Raemoir - dreading area a bit (after last year's waist deep snow wallow!) but apart from a lot of uphill the course was fine, forest a bit brashy in places which made downhill running a bit exciting. Decent run - lost time at no 4 which was higher uphill then marked, mostly clean with a few hesitations. Caught Andrew McM at 6 and had Chris Smithard playing catch and catch again until last control. Only 2-30 down so fairly satisfied given the survey time in my legs.
Easy day tomorrow.
