Jog round camp at Stafford to get travel out of my system. Calf still a bit tight feeling and sore.

steady run 1:30:00 [3]

With Sarah from Birse up through Birse Wood, to Carn Ferg, long way off and back down Fungle. Feeling left calf a bit, but never too sore, just a bit tight and slightly aching.

Note

Surveying Inchmarnoch 4 hours. Another sunny mild day and a superb bit of forest. The middle distance race is going to be a top race next year.

Intervals 12:00 [5]

Glen Tanar with Deeside Runners. 6x2+1, going well till near end of 6th, then left lower calf cramped up and I jogged slowly back. Iced it and gentle stretching showed a bit of pain but nothing too bad. Hopefully a couple of days off running and I'll be OK.

steady run 40:00 [3]

warm up and jog back

stretching 12:00 [1]

Cautious about calf, but nothing seemed to affect it at all. Even did a few calf stretches - with dipped knee I could feel the area but nothing too bad.

Note

Forgot to add

surveying Inchmarnoch 5 hours - lovely day, warm and sunny for much of it.
