orienteering race 1:21:00 [5]

SOL, Polmaise & Sauchie. Ran black course - probably a mistake! Tough area and pissing rain for two thirds of course. Really struggled to read the map in second part of area, too fiddly, map wet, muddy, magnifier misted over and dark forest with heavy clouds..... Reduced to running on compass and stopping when I saw a large feature to check where I was. Worked most time, just a bit slow. 1:7,500 scale map looked a LOT clearer.....

Street-O at Erskine. Ran course 2, 6th, 2-50 down on Dave R. Reasonably happy, three errors cost me ca 1-30. felt lethargic (probably due to driving from Aberdeen then running soon after).

With Sarah round Dinnet Nature reserve from car park near rangers house. Nice day, lots of black clouds but some sun over the loch. Geese sitting on the loch and fields around, flying off honking in alarm
