orienteering 58:00 [5]

District event Bogendreip. Cold, windy day, Brown course, 7.5km 58 mins. Decent run, lost time in 3 places - overshot 2, wobbled on slope at 6 but turned the correct way, a bit left at 8, missed seeing 11 from about 5m away and ran 50m up gully, then turned and saw control - tucked under a back and behind a fallen branch! Felt good at start but legs a bit heavy and tired by end.

steady run warm up/down 10:00 [3]

jog to start etc and back from finish

Note

Trip to coup for morning and then walk to Deeside Activity Park in afternoon with friend and children. Legs tired fro Friday.

steady run 1:30:00 [3]

With Sarah from Cambus, up to Cnoc Dubh, down to road, past gingerbread house, up drove road and back down through Cambus. Trying to run knee high and from balls of feet, feels good, but harder work than usual lean forward shuffle.

x-c skiing 1:30:00 [2]

Round tracks from Colin's with C, Sarah & Ewan, usual shuttling and slow bits. Enjoyable but tracks not as good as Falun!

x-c skiing 1:45:00 [2]

With Sarah and Ewan at Stangtjarn, round eljuspar - some nice sharp downs and ups. Enjoyable but having to shuttle back and forth to try top keep warm (failed and very chilled by the end).

steady run 42:00 [4]

Run at Karlstad with Colin Mc, in snow. Felt tired at start and struggling to keep up with pace. Glad to hit solid pavements for last few minutes, but much colder than in forest.

Downhill skiing 1:00:00 [2]

Bjorsas ski area - cold (-15 at start of day) and not quite enough clothing. Took "telemark" skis, but more alpine mountaineering - bloody heavy and not as flexible as I wanted. Still snow was fantastic and sun was out. Spent a lot of time with Ewan on easy slopes but got a few longer runs in - great time, next visit we'll do a whole day. Expensive - ca £110-£120 for ski hire and lift pass for 3 for 3 hours......

x-c skiing 58:00 [4]

Did 10k loop again on own, pushing hard and back just at dusk (no head torch this time!!). Great ski, really enjoyable and tiredness held off till after the big climb. Fantastic loop and evening. I'll be back.
