Loop from house through woods and tracks - great snow.

x-c skiing 30:00 [2]

Messing about out back in woods with Ewan & Sarah. making a piste for downhill runs.... Snow getting wetter - only just about freezing.

Note

Digging snow - another 6-8' overnight and a few more showers during the day. Probably had about 30 inches snow so far, in open areas the settled snow is well over knee deep. Problem is the ground was warm when snow fell, so melting from bottom up - many tracks get slushy after a couple of passes, but a good frost tonight might improve matters.
School shut again tomorrow - not likely to get much work done in the near future!

Ski over to Deeside Activity Park and back - mostly nice snow, a bit thin and damp underneath in some spots.

Skiing with Ewan and Sarah at Balmoral (golf course). Deep snow but some compressed snow from a tractor.

Digging snow for ca 1 hour

Walk over to Deeside Activity Park and back by head torch - for Maroc AGM, 54 people turned up... a testament to how popular the junior presentations are.. or of how stubborn orienteers are!

Still not 100% but better nights sleep. Lots of snow shovelling - another 6-8" at least.

orienteering 1:08:00 [4]

Night-O - DNC 1 Balnagowan. Felt dreadful, no energy, no focus, nothing really, though it was very scenic in the snowy forest.
Missed 1 badly then ambled round (walking everything that resembled a hill) missed 1ยง0 & 11. 16 mins down on Dan - 10 mins errors (at least) and some due to slowness.

Travel home and thought about run, but then thought better - too knackered from travelling and short night sleep.
