XC skiing at Glen Tanar from Braeloine, 20 mins towing Ewan on a sledge and a 40 min loop up the glen and back. Snow really good on tracks - ploughed and well packed so good glide.

Messing around with Ewan - towing sledge up hill and following him down
Cambus O'May - a lap of the main tracks - good conditions- new snow since last visit and -7C which was perfect for the wax. Lovely skiing, though chilly on downhill whizzes!

2 laps of dungheap loop + extra loope below Walled Garden and towards waterfall (sarah cut new track). 21 and 20 mins. Going well, good conditions - head torch as it was sunset when I set off!
Collecting night-O markers - ran actual course and did just under 54 mins - and that was knowing the control sites (only had to hunt for 2!) and in daylight. Respect to Oleg for his 46.

Collecting reflectors from fence at bottom of ride below house - easy run down, wallow back. Still - last night's participants who created a nice trench in the snow have given us an escape route to the main road!
Hanging markers for night-O - snow quite deep in places. Open areas were worst - up to my hips in some places and over my knees for a lot. Forest is much better - esp under spruce trees - one occasion to head for the thick forest!
Managed to grind left shin down something in the snow - didn't hurt until half an hour later when it thawed out!
School shut on first day of term - what a joke - a few inches of snow and the whole of Aberdeenshire schools shut - pathetic. So no chance of getting night-O markers out, have to do it tomorrow.
