Clachnaben hill Race. Feeling very negative before start and dreadful on first road section. Gradually got into the race a bit on hill sections and good descent from Mount Shade, then hit forest road again and plodded back from there - losing 2 places and almost grinding to a halt on last 500m - food bonk?
overall better than expected and can probably do better in future with a better mental approach.

warm up steady running and jogging. Warm down consisted of walking to the beer tent and getting 2 cups of very very good beer (Deeside Brewery and lots of yummy cakes). Do as I say not as I do!
Dess Wood loop and cowshit alley, return via bull-e-vard. Legs feeling pretty good, but other muscles aching from morning spend clearing lathe and plaster from room in house...
