rest day - walk with Sarah and Ewan up Scolty, then various bits of gardening etc, legs starting to feel sore......

Hill Race race 1:35:40 [5]

Clachnaben hill Race. Feeling very negative before start and dreadful on first road section. Gradually got into the race a bit on hill sections and good descent from Mount Shade, then hit forest road again and plodded back from there - losing 2 places and almost grinding to a halt on last 500m - food bonk?
overall better than expected and can probably do better in future with a better mental approach.

legs feeling surprisingly good....

steady run warm up/down 15:00 [3]

warm up steady running and jogging. Warm down consisted of walking to the beer tent and getting 2 cups of very very good beer (Deeside Brewery and lots of yummy cakes). Do as I say not as I do!

5x2+1 on railway line, feeling good and relaxed, but right buttock a bit tender, took first one easy and stretched into it gradually.

steady run warm up/down 25:00 [3]

down to Dess Burn and across "bridge" and return by same route.

Dess Wood loop and cowshit alley, return via bull-e-vard. Legs feeling pretty good, but other muscles aching from morning spend clearing lathe and plaster from room in house...
