Really enjoyable event despite the weather.
Runable area with lots of contour detail, much more fun than the so called "technical" grot that I've run in lately. Lost 4 min 43 sec going back up the hill to control 16 when I got distracted and coundn't remember if i'd punched it.
I had, ridiculous decision but that's what happens when you get tired.

Day out with coffee stop, first long run for me, hilly route, 4 major climbs, enjoyed and got the distance easily.
Strong on the hills. Jedburgh, Ancrum, Hawick, Roberton, Tushielaw, Gordon Arms to Tibbie Sheils at St Marys Loch. Back via Yarrowford, Ettrickbridgend, Ashkirk, Lillieslief, Ancrum for food and beer then back to Jedburgh.

Another poor performance.
Trouble reading map, didn't see best way to 1, couldn't find 7 on map after 6 (went to 2), couldn't work out if I could run down road after 2nd road crossing.

Poor performance, struggled with map colours (couldn't tell vegetation in marshy areas- expected them to be open but most were trees and some green). Missed 1,2 and 4 badly, got better when I got usede to the map.
