Cross-country skiing (skate) 1:30:00 [2]

Ski with Hammer from P7. Mike's skis were a little slow so we switched them. Wicked conditions. P7 to Ridge. Went to Champlain and then Burma to the Parkway and then back onto Ridge from Gossip Corner.

Note

Working for Fresh Air Experience at Nor-AM Eastern Canadian Ski Champs at Nakkertok. Let's see, perfect weather, around 600 skiers, a mini expo with a bunch of suppliers (One Way, Fischer, Atomic, Madshus, Ski-Go, Star).

Watched the 15km Men and 7.5 (I think) km Ladies skate races. Probably my fave race distance to compete in.

Nakkertok has it going on. The main thing they need to work on is their ski suits.

Running 50:00 [2]

Lovely run down by the river after work. Got my new classic poles first (now just have to use them sometime).

Job hunt is starting to get into action. Very slow action.

Cross-country skiing (skating) 2:00:00 [3]

Really lovely ski from P7 up and down Ridge, doubling back a few sections. Grooming just average, but conditions so great they couldn't even screw that up.

Size 11 Skate boots will be posted for sale shortly.

Running 45:00 [1]

Worked at Fresh Air, then wee run, and then watched True Blood for the first time. Not too bad of a show.

Now can anyone who speaks Norwegian explain what the locals are saying about this race:

Some strange results. One of my favourite skiers of all time was 9th (at age 45). A Brit in the medals. And another old guy at 4th. And the guy who was 40th. Interesting...

Cross-country skiing (skating) 1:30:00 [3]

Ski in honour of Karl's 35 birthday with Megan and Steph Rees. Ottawa got a mixture of snow and freezing rain and the groomers decided it would be best not to work.

As Karl and Meg are racing the Vasa they wanted to do a mixture of legs and arms only and I got challenged to do the same. Legs only could keep up with K. No dice on the double polling.
