Orienteering race 20:28 [5] 2.8 km (7:19 / km)
shoes: Brooks Glycerin 8

Bunbury 3 Campus Sprint

Mostly a clean run with a few wobbles - nearly over ran 7, trapped by a fence at 14 and missing 19 and the finish chute.

Bruce ran me down at 5 and was dust by 7.

Orienteering race 21:46 [5] 3.0 km (7:15 / km)
shoes: Brooks Glycerin 8

BCGS Sprint

Really good run until 15 where I ducked into a track and then couldn't work out which one it was so I back tracked. Easy to see which one it was afterwards, but I just couldn't make it all go together so I opted for the safety of going back a bit.

Leg 1 of Old bastards relay

Took the time to make sure of what I was doing out of the start triangle as people were going every which way. Got almost all of the way to 1 and then turned left when I saw some likely rocks, but should have turned left. Bye bye any chance of tailing any junior elite teams. The course was physically quite tough but also enjoyable. It might just be my eyes, but I would swear that at least two of my controls weren't centred on the right feature - 116 & 101.

Tooms was a bit quicker than me and Sten flogged us and was competitive with the Kiwi teams. No surprise that we finished a distant second to the NZ team.

Orienteering race 1:23:27 [5] 9.3 km (8:58 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 300

M40A at Warranine Brook Aus Champs

Started 12 minutes late because Kate took a while and Ceri hadn't quite made it back either. Really good run for the most part, with just minor wobbles in some of the rock detail in the control circles. Saw Bruce and Jock as they headed to 10 and I was about to climb up to 5. Had a couple of people to run with, M21E I think, in the paddocks for a while before going back into the green.

Woke up a big stinky roo on the way down to 11, which I just did straight through the green crap because I failed to notice the left route through some clearer stuff. Might have been a bit slower but not much. Catch Graeme at 12 and left him behind at 13.

Getting pretty tired over the last third. Behind all of the ring-ins from over East and also OMT, which was no great surprise. Only 23 minutes down on Bruce as he took out the coveted M40A crown.
