Knock Out Quali Esbjerg. Managed the tricky legs with levels/OOB and even kept calm at the control on a crag the but lost 25secs on an easy leg in a car park then bad route on long leg, would have been in with a shout qualifying without even though on 12 went through.

Knock Out B race, a bit annoying that my race had less people than the other ones which they eventually decided they couldn't change even though it was random assignment. Decided regardless I just wanted to focus on winning the race I was in.
Finally a race I’m happy with this weekend, once again proving I’m good at these. Ran off the front with a good route choice. Happy my time mixed it with the proper finals despite running solo from 5.

Knock Out B final - Let French girl ahead early on due to route and spent the rest trying but failing to real her in. Good fun, love these races just really do need to convert them into normal sprinting as I've said many times before. Don't know what it is but I just feel a much better orienteering in these kind of races?

Denmark WRE Sprint Quali Ribe.
Lots of artificial barriers and hedges, lost time on awkward route choices. Caught by a Danish girl at 8 and was a bit annoyed as I hadn't actually made a mistake. On analysing I took the longer route of 6/8 of these controls and one of the ones I got right didn't have a choice (she was also leading the course at the time)! Then on 9 I thought the other route was better but decided to stick in as had obviously already dropped a lot of time but turns out I should have stuck to my gun as my route was better! Another bad route to 15 and 17 when focusing more on running than making my own decisions. Course meant to be 3km running distance but they got it wrong so winning times very out.
A bit disappointed to be so far down but can see why when I made so many bad route choices and my times are actually decent when I get it right. Once again I'm better than that but just can't seem to put it together but I came to Denmark to give myself more experience at high standard quality races to help move forward.

WRE sprint final, Ribe.
Missed 2 routes (lots of artificial barriers, not good at seeing the small sneaky detours around which they like out here) and lost time in the last loop in oxygen debt when suddenly lost where I was which can’t afford when the standard is so high. Know I can do better but enjoyed it though and that’s the main reason I’m here.

Good instructor on holiday so decided it wasn't worth the loss of sleep/boring run therefore another home class it was.

So grumpy, lower Craiglockhart lunch break. Heavy legs, ran up hill so could ignore how slow I was going. Felt happier once I had a nice trail to myself.

Nice when not in the wind. Chilled Craiglockhart pond/hospital with Chris, legs 100x better than earlier.

Chats with the gang, delivering birthday treats. Big rainbows after, pot of gold looked like it was at my house...dinner I'd already made was there which felt enough like finding gold.

Speed session "with" Kirsty, 6x400m (4mins). Outside my comfort zone but that’s good for me. Had her chase me down on a few so we could work together. Couple of fast ones by my standards in there despite the wind. Legs will not be happy.
