W/u ~ around car park lots and lots jogging and strides to get the legs moving, then I did drills and stretches. Was well warmed up.
W/d ~ hmmm a little jog, me and Charlotte had a little moan about doing so bad.....

This went awful........
1 - Was going well, took the path route saw Lauren come out of it went in then didn't see it so went a little left....then saw a depression so knew where I was so went back up the hill, then nothing there then just got further and further away and ended up at ride then ran back along path and came in at same point to where I was and saw the control was just a few metres from where I'd been. So annoyed. Loss 5:19
2 - Ran fast and ended up on wrong hill and had to come around to control Loss 20secs.
3 - Ran past the crag and then had to climb up to it ~ 30secs
4 - Too far up the hill and put off by other control - 1:30
5 - I took the woose route to be safe and got it ok!!!!!!!
6 - Pretty good.
7 - Didn't take the best route out of the control did more climb than was needed 20secs.
8 and 9 were easy and I got them fine :)
10 - Didn't see the crag, wasn't reading map well or concentrating after getting controls cleanly again, just ran about in green....1:45
11 - Hit the crag further along so had to go back and then climb up the hill 30secs
12 - Think the top would have been quicker but I found the control ok.
13 - Route could have been slightly better but was better than other controls.
14 - Stopped to early, ran back up the hill before realising I hadn't come far enough, 1:08
15 - Was good right to the circle when I couldn't tell what was green and what wasn't and my control happened to be on edge of green. 51secs
16 - This sounds so stupid now but I had no plan and no attack point I just ran in direction..........:( as a result....lost a place...which still would have been a bad result but a place is a place 1:43
17, 18, Finish....well even me on a day like this couldn't mess them up!
I messed up like every control:( I had a really bad day and after the like 3rd big mistake I found it really hard to keep myself from getting annoyed. I don't give up but I get annoyed which results in more mistakes. Total time loss was atleast 13mins....and even that looks better.....prehaps 4th. Boy did I feel rubbish when I came in so disappointed with myself.
Tomorrow will be better:)
Got to put it behind me......as everyone says its a new race.
