orienteering race 1:01:00 [3] 4.7 km (12:59 / km) +195m 10:45 / km

fast, open terrain...of course, not enough to really make a difference in my time...must be the altitude.

orienteering race 44:00 [3]

what a disaster...didn't make the transition back to 5m contours very smoothly...also realized that I thought that I could read the 1:10 map ok but I really can't...missed a lot of important tick lines and detail that would have helped...will use my glasses tomorrow.

orienteering race (trail O) 45:00 [1] 3.7 km (12:10 / km)

only missed 3 (of 21) controls...took a while to realize all of the rules.

trail running 1:05:00 [3]

ran the trail along the Spokane River...lots of rapids and fast water.

orienteering race (sprint) 40:00 [3]

skipped a control, haven't done that in a long time...just didn't see it...very short leg...I think I'm still braindead from yesterday.

orienteering race 3:00:00 [3]

not a good day...went into it thinking that there was a good chance I would bail out...11.7k is pretty long especially in the heat. I didn't think I would be totally whipped. I got to #14 and was too tired to continue...took me over 2 hours...so I skipped to #18 (500m) and then in to the finish (another 500m)...that took almost an hour so I was in bad shape....but I did survive and ate myself into oblivian at dinner.
