Orienteering race 1:28:31 [4] 9.2 km (9:37 / km) +250m 8:28 / km
shoes: Montrail

northern champs on frogett edge. ran m20e, only made one mistake, and that was coming off the ridge too early between 8 and 9, generally pretty good, but so physically draining, my body did not like the huge climbs up the edge and across the tussocks. found the nav pretty straightforward but had no speed across that terrain, just didnt feel strong enough.

Run warm up/down 20:00 [1] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Montrail

run to the start, do some warming up and then jogging back from the finish.

Note

yeah, i've been being lazy, but my hip has been hurting still and i've been pretty busy at home. went to the greyhound racing yesterday, was £131.50 up after 3 races, needless to say i came home having lost £15 which isn't too much of a loss but if it hadn't been my birthday i'd have never put that money back on!

Run warm up/down 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: New Balance 750's

run down to hallam and then back again, a lot slower on the way back though.

Orienteering 26:00 [3] 2.7 km (9:38 / km)
shoes: New Balance 750's

night sprint O around collegiate, broomhall and the hospital area. went reasonably well, made a mistake on 6 which was really stupid, and then pretty slow through the intricate bit, but making the right route choices, then having a nice battle with shminty through the rest of the course, did miss out 16 though which was a stupid mistake, was on the crease of my map and the line was pretty straight from 15-17 but no excuse.

hip is now hurting, been really tight since last night though, will have tomorrow off.

Note

decided that as we now have a pull up bar installed i will do 5 everytime i go past, managed 40 pull ups today, down a bit on the last 2 days of 50, maybe im just not going upstairs as much!

Run warm up/down 39:00 [2] 7.3 km (5:21 / km)
shoes: New Balance 750's

jog down to carlIsle street from goodwin, as a warm up and then back up after the session, a lot slower back and lacking in the 'free running' lol

Intervals intervals 39:00 [4] 9.0 km (4:20 / km)
shoes: New Balance 750's

6 reps of 1.5k off of 6 and a half minutes. knew to start with that sticking with any of the guys was gonna be impossible so set out at my own pace, relaxed and got in a good rhythm. was running at my rep pace until i saw them finish the rep normally 100-150m ahead and then jogged slowly to meet up with them all as my recovery. generally meant i had between 5 and 10 seconds static recovery. but was consistent and happy with my effort. need more sessions like this!
