Orienteering 51:54 [4]

SHI relays, 1st leg..

Really enjoyed this!! Started off so well then somehow was in the lead, got a bit overexcited and lost 30s or so just before crossing into the field, so was caught up, then lost more time going to the wrong gaffle so ended up down in 5th chasing people.. didn't manage to gain much time, lost more time on 15, went in far too early and got hugely confused.. still trying to play catch up but not fast enough, really enjoyed it :) massively better than yesterday :)

SHI Individual, 10.6km..

Pretty rubbish really.. quite excited to start with cause really wanted to race but felt shattered and run down all week so not expecting much.. Started off well :) then stopped too early on no.3 and couldn't understand what the rocks were all doing, lost 4 mins there.. next couple were slow but fairly accurate, still struggling to understand what was going on.. then no7 was terrible.. was running all around the right area but just couldn't find the ditch!! 18mins later and it miraculously appeared :D so another 11-12mins gone.. rest I was feeling pretty knakered and disheartened and gave myself a good talking-to on the hill up to 12 to sort myself out!

As many as possible in 20mins.. hit 20 :) only 19 last year and didn't feel like they were too much effort today so yay :)

Been in a grump all day, finally hit the wall, should really have learnt from last year.. started off fairly hard then realised it was doing nothing for my mood so ran the rest of the reps at the back at a very leisurely pace enjoying the view of a dark endcliffe park.. fun! Session was 2x3min, 2x2min, 4x90, 4x60 which normally i would have really liked cause it was fairly speedy.. hugely need a rest to get rid of the cold, aches and tiredness.. not really going to happen until next week though i don't think.. despite the grumpiness today got to admit i have enjoyed the start to 2nd year :) maybe a bit too much.. hmm..
