Square dancing (advanced) 35:00 [1]
slept:14.0 weight:168lbs shoes: Rockport

At Advanced class. 7:45-10pm.

run (road) 42:58 [1] 4.0 mi (10:45 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Grid Stabil

Guess I will have to get back to running again. Over 70F today and still warm enough for shorts when I ran at 11pm. Supposed to be wet and snowy again tomorrow.
Blister under the toenail from saturday might become a problem if I ran any harder. This was just a jog to get outside.

other 1:00 [1]
slept:12.0 weight:170lbs (sick)

Thought I was finally better, but illness just moved back from the stomach to my head. Had planned to go to QOC meet at Westmoreland but spent the day in bed instead.

Saturday Mar 5, 2005 #

orienteering race (sprint) 21:16 [3] ** 2.88 km (7:23 / km) +21m 7:07 / km
spiked:12/13c rhr:64 weight:171lbs shoes: Integrator04-studs

DVOA: Norristown Sprint 1 (Curly). 11:45 Skipped the warmup because I was late arriving. Felt ok at start and did not explode on the course but stomach was a problem. Had to run a slower pace than I would have liked.
Splits are posted.

orienteering race (sprint) 20:18 [4] ** 3.12 km (6:30 / km) +39m 6:07 / km
spiked:11/13c shoes: Integrator04-studs

DVOA: Norristown Sprint 2 (Larry) . 12:30pm. Had locked my keys in the car before the first sprint so had nothing to do between races. Felt a bit better on this run a ran a bit faster.
Splits are posted.

orienteering race (sprint) 20:14 [4] ** 2.75 km (7:21 / km) +33m 6:56 / km
spiked:10/12c shoes: Integrator04-studs

DVOA: Norristown Sprint 3 (Moe). 1:30pm Called AAA for the car and ran. Not much speed but not particularly tired from running earlier. My fastest time of the 3 courses but this one was the shortest. I would have been satisfied since I was 34, 25, 20 in the 3 sprints, but I got a DQ for wall jumping. Saw that others had taken the same route so figured it must be ok. Should have read the meet notes a little closer, I knew the DQ rules but not what an uncrossable stone wall is mapped as. Saved about 125m.
Splits are posted.

Square dancing (plus,rounds) 40:00 [1]

Square dancing 30:00 [1]
rhr:68 weight:171lbs shoes: Rockport

At Whirling Stars. 8-10pm.
Stomach still bothering me when it was time to run after dancing so I packed for DVOA tomorrow and went to bed instead.

Thursday Mar 3, 2005 #

Square dancing (rounds, plus) 40:00 [1]
rhr:71 weight:171lbs shoes: Rockport

At B and B. 7-9:30pm. Early rounds at 7. Leaned a new Bolero. Wimped out again on any real exercise, stomach is still bothering me. Hope this rest is helping my recovery and not just going to make me extra tired at the sprints sat.

Wednesday Mar 2, 2005 #

bike (fluid trainer) 42:23 [2]
rhr:72 slept:8.0 weight:171lbs shoes: Diadora

Stayed in for the usual reasons and watched another eposide of Alias on DVD. I have rehydrated my weight back to 171 but resting HR still high.
There was dancing at Boomerangs but I did not do enough to be worth mentioning. Mostly sat around and wondered why the students were having such a hard time tonight.

Tuesday Mar 1, 2005 #

Square dancing (plus,rounds) 30:00 [1]
slept:8.0 weight:170lbs

At Dixie Stars 8-10pm.
Snow almost all melted already but I stayed inside anyway. Still have a small cough and I want it to go away.

Signed up for the DVOA sprints this saturday. Hope I am able to breathe easily by then. Will miss round dance class in order to go but will stop and see Io while I am in PA.
