Managed to switch my watch off (so another 4 mins and 700m). Some pretty gritty bits out there and not sure of my route - not helped by not being sure how long watch was stopped for.

Orienteering race (Wimbledon Night-O) 48:06 [3] 6.48 km (7:26 / km) +41m 7:12 / km
ahr:157 max:180 shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280

Bit scrappy to 1. Should have believed the paths (been distracted by faffing with my hair) instead of trying to spot the thicker trees (which didn't look much different to the semi tree-d open in the dark).

Ok 1-2-3 (3 was in the wrong place, E of thicket instead of north, but I just ran round it. Caught Todd here.

3-4 plan to aim off to the East a bit across the open but somehow got pulled further east (prob seeing lights of road) and ended up at the north east corner of the open, meant i had the path to come in on so not the end of the world (got there same time as Todd.

4-5 after Todd ran round in a bit of a circle coming out of 4 hit 5 together. same to 6 (came out straight South).

6-7 had planned to go straight but couldn't see little path and wood look a bit impenetrable, so ended up heading in and round on big track,

7-8-9-10 all easy

10-11 ran on path along ditch (thought being paths change ditches and the earth bank we're heading to probably haven't.) It worked.

11--12-13-end all fine. Todd got away from me on the leg it along the track bit to 12 but then didn't hit the control or the finish.

Nice head to head!
