Nip along the road to meet K&H coming off the ridge. Managed to fall off on the way back into the campsite over cattle grid and onto coarse gravel - bashed left knee - oops!

Strathcarron to Torridon over Maol Chean Dearg, Sgorr Ruadh & Beinn Liath Mhor with SB. Hammy worrying me at the start, but seemed to settle more once we got into it. Good climb up onto MCD & stunning last remnant of red in the sky to the north. Then made a bit of a mess of coming off in the dark getting onto some sketchy steep rocky ground and plumping for a corner cut descent, rather than the long way round by the path. 3h to the next top seemed too long, but there was an awesome sunrise in between and it was a night just to enjoy. From SR to BLM was much speedier, then a hastily rearranged changeover by the Ling hut gave us a relatively easy run off the hill.
Awesome night and v happy that the hammy held up :-)

Veteran Women’s Munro Relay finally underway :-))
Early start to meet the kayakers crossing Kyle Rhea and then transfer the tracker by road to Loch Slapin for Bla Bheinn leg. Gorgeous morning and nothing on the road. Had totally blanked the mega climb over the Bealach Udal, but it was soon over and the rest was a dream.

Up the big Balfour track to the bend then back down lower path to join Chutney. Felt good on the climb, keeping stride length short, and enjoyed overtaking a couple of MTB ers. Feeling the hamstring on flat and down with longer stride, but more discomfort than pain and no yelpy moments. I’d say 2/10 today. So so happy with this and genuinely believing for the first time that I can be good to go in the hills by next Monday morning. :-)))

Trial jog. Not so much painful as still awkward on the follow through. Physio suggested anything less than 4/10 and not getting worse is ok. I'd put this at 3 I think. I know I'm rushing things a bit but not given up hope yet for next week's relay plans if progress continues over the next few days.

Time to test the hammy out on the bike. Loop out by Craiglash to Inchmarlo and back by A93. Pretty ok and felt good to get some exercise. Steady improvement, though a way to go yet.
